I bought a projector and measured the white wall without pulling the
curtains during the day. (I don’t believe the online publicity, my
projection brightness is 2200 lumens, the daytime projection effect is
still not available, and the projection of those LED light sources is
even less.) So I moved the idea of resisting the light curtain. Taobao
made several samples of material anti-light curtains and made a
comparative evaluation. Three protagonists: White soft screen: picture frame screen 100 inch 820 yuan, 120 inch 1150 yuan Anti-light
soft screen (alias: gray crystal metal screen, silver diamond screen):
picture frame screen frame screen 100 inch 1150 yuan, 120 inch 1420 yuan Anti-light hard screen (alias: black diamond anti-light curtain): picture frame screen 100 inch 1580 yuan, 120 inch 1850 yuan Anti-light soft screen contrast anti-light hard screen (alias: black diamond screen)
Both surfaces are gray. The soft screen feels thick plastic
sheet, the material of large-format inkjet printing. The hard screen
feel is a hard plastic cardboard.
The two screen projection
effects are similar, the hard screen feels darker and the contrast is
higher. The brightness of the projector is not particularly high, and
the soft screen effect may be better.
The soft screen is more
fragile than the most common white fiberglass curtain, suitable for fine
players. The hard screen is more rugged and is highly recommended for
players who have a bear child at home.
Contrast test of the projection effect, look at the picture
specifically, deliberately pick the shot when the morning is brighter,
the projection wall and the window are squatting. Here is the
conclusion:
1.When the curtains are not pulled during the day, the anti-light
curtain can only say that there is effect, the light has a great
influence on the projection effect, and the projection effects of the
white wall and various curtains are not available.
2.50% blackout curtains during the day (simulating the scene without
blackout curtains), white wall, white screen projection effect is not
available, anti-light curtain can see the image, but the effect is not
ideal.
3.When the curtains are 100% blackout cloth during the day, the white
wall, white curtain and anti-light curtain are very good. The
light-resistant screen shows a higher contrast in black, but the details
of the dark parts are also reduced.
The flatness of the curtain has an effect on the display effect. Choose suggestions:
1.Anti-light curtain can not solve the problem of ambient light too
bright, do not expect the value is too high. Especially when the
projection wall and the window are close to each other, the influence is
greater. No matter how good the light curtain is, it is not as good as a
blackout curtain.
When the ambient light is not particularly bad, the anti-light
curtain will slightly enhance the display effect. If it is an indoor
environment that has to be turned on, it is necessary to purchase it.
1.In the dark environment, the display of the anti-light curtain is
slightly worse than the white wall, mainly in the details of the dark
part. It is not recommended to use a light-resistant screen for use in
dark environments.
2.Anti-light soft screen display effect will not be worse than the
more expensive hard screen, but the material is softer, people worry
about life, choose soft or hard depends on whether there is a bear
child.
3.Not bad money from the perspective of service life recommended hard
screen; a little money, no bear child’s recommended soft screen; the
most cost-effective direct white wall or cheap, strong glass fiber
screen.

Screen formats are determined by the specific aspect ratio of the screen. Aspect ratio is the fractional relation of the width of a video image compared to its height. The two most common aspect ratios in home video are 4:3 (also known as 4×3, 1.33:1, or standard) and 16:9 (16×9, 1.78:1, or wide-screen). All the older TVs and computer monitors you grew up with had the squarish 4:3 shape–only 33 percent wider than it was high. On the other hand, 16:9 is the native aspect ratio of most HDTV programming; it is 78 percent wider than it is tall, or fully one-third wider than 4:3. So which aspect ratio is best for you? Today, the most commonly sold aspect ratios screens for home theaters are 1.78:1 (16:9) and now growing 2.35:1 (CinemaScope). 16:9 aspect ratio screens are a perfect match to today’s HD video projectors. To figure out what aspect ratio may be best for you, you may consider the following: If you are building a dedicated room geared mostly towards mov...
